The project is considered the largest residential heritage renewal of its kind in WA. $130m iconic redevelopment of the heritage listed 1920s Dalgety & Co wool stores, built by J. Hawkins & Sons, and now being championed by Built, Match and architects Cameron Chisholm Nicol into New York style apartments. Heirloom will introduce around 250 new residents to Fremantle in 183 apartments featuring impressive high ceilings, century old wooden beams and outlooks over the Fremantle Port, Queen Victoria Street and magnificent light-filled internal streetscapes.
Before major internal contraction began, Chuditch created an on-site mock-up room to test for acoustic mass, as well as solving issues around plumbing, services and creating a practical construction blueprint.
